      It would depend on what kind of work you are doing, but the majority is not much more dangerous than any other type of job

      Yes you can die doing science, as often we work with chemicals that go on fire, or sometimes I work with dangerous viruses. In laboratories you are trained how to work safely and usually never alone. Unfortunately sometimes accidents happen, but this is the same in all jobs. Working with water can be a lot safer than working inside volcanoes for example!

      As much as you can die in lterally any activity, same applies to science (whatever that involves).
