Fantastic question, the gas doesn’t make the water disappear but it causes the planet to get hotter over a long time (that is why it is called global warming). This causes the ice in the north pole and Antarctica to melt. Which causes the sea levels to rise and some of the crazy weather we have been seeing more of here in Ireland. When humans cut down trees it also has an effect on global warming and we could also be cutting down the homes of some animals. Trees breathe in a gas called carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. This also can make the planet a little hotter. When the planet is warmer it affects sea life because the animals can get a little confused. I hope this answers your question, but if you want to ask anything else, ask away.
