      Well there is a bacterial disease in humans called Necrotizing fasciitis. Its caused by lots of different type of bacteria and rots your flesh away from your bones! Disgusting right? Most people who get this disease are quite ill in the first place, or they are swimming in waters with lots of a bacteria called Vibrio vulnificus, with an open wound. There is a fungal infection called Ophiocordyceps unilateralis that infects insects in tropical countries, mainly ants and basically makes them into zombies. So if we have a zombie apocalyspe I would assume its from a fungus, like the one infecting ants, and I would try to make an antifugal! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vijGdWn5-h8
