I think if science teams included a diverse group of people from all over the world, it would have a greater impact than scientific discoveries by themselves. I would love to see more women as leaders of research teams, speaking at public events and leading universities. People from the developing world, people of colour, people from the travelling community in Ireland, all need to be present and represented in the science community. This diversity is important, because just like in the classroom, at work we all have difference ways of thinking and seeing the world. Sometimes we need those different world views to make scientific discoveries or to focus on certain research areas!

Are you lookig for an idea for an invention? :p

I think water desalinasation; hydrogen fuel cells; and carbon capture & storage will continue or become extremely relevant (and change more and more the world).

Everything in the world is affected by science, whether it be biology, chemistry, physics or maths or a mixture of everything.
