There are 333 million cubic miles of water on the planet and only 2.5% of that is fresh water. Only 0.3% of that water is actually accessible.

Roughly 4% of the earth’s water is fresh water. The rest is saline water (sea water). This figure is pretty small considering we use so much fresh water every day. A lot of the fresh water is actually locked up in glaciers & the ice caps & undergound (groundwater)
